Frequently Asked Questions...

What makes it different from other language arts programs?

This series is story-based and relational rather than heavy on drills and worksheets. It integrates real-world application, narration, picture study, and creative writing — making language arts both meaningful and enjoyable.

Is this a Christian curriculum?

Yes. Language Lessons for a Living Education weaves in Scripture, moral lessons, and biblical worldview throughout.

How much teacher prep is needed?

Almost none. Lessons are open-and-go, meaning you can simply open the book and begin. A brief glance at the week ahead may help you gather optional supplies like art or nature study materials.

Can I use this with more than one child?

Because each book is grade-specific and written to the student, it’s best for each child to have their own copy. However, younger children may listen in on stories or participate in some activities alongside an older sibling.

Will this help my reluctant writer?

Many parents find that the gentle approach and creative prompts help reluctant writers gain confidence without feeling overwhelmed.

Can I start mid-year?

Absolutely! You can begin at any point in the school year. Simply start at the beginning of the book and work at your child’s pace.

How many lessons are in each book?

Each book contains 36 weeks of lessons (180 daily lessons), making it a full year of language arts.

How do the Adventure Bundles fit in?

Kingsway Adventure Bundles are optional, literature-based bundles that complement or enrich the learning experience.
